In case of use of more than two weft colors on airjet weaving machines, it is always recommended to use reeds with a conical entry (also called funnel tunnel) since the main nozzles needs more space to launch the weft inside the reed channel. Length and shape of the conical entry is normally suggest by the machine maker but can be also customize the reed according to customer needs. We can provide mainly three type of conical entries as follow: Biconical entry in case of heavy shrinkage of the fabric. Standard conical entry that follow’s machine maker official reed specification. Wider conical entry when you need DLC dents at the beginning of the conical entry. We also have semi-conical entries usually used for tire cord weaving (picture not available)
